The BMW 335d xDrive estate is one of the world's best all-round cars, it's great to drive, it has massive performance, it's efficient, it's practical, and, with the all-wheel drive, it's also an all-weather car. The 3-litre, straight-six engine sounds wonderful, producing 308bhp and it has a whopping 465 Nm torque, together with a 0-62mph time of just 4.9 seconds, and it's mated to BMW's excellent 8-speed automatic gearbox. You can change manually using steering-wheel mounted paddles – great for holding the car in gear through corners – but for the typical owner, the gearbox works so well in automatic mode that the manual setting is likely to be used very rarely. The interior ergonomics are excellent, the dashboard straight forward and conventional, has all the high tech controls perfectly weighted and where you want them. Critically, the iDrive system and the sat nav – with its large screen and clear graphics – works extremely well. This particular model finished in the stunning Estoril Blue Metallic is outstanding with a very high standard of specification including, ranging from the Dyanmic Control System, giving you the choice of driving set up at your finger tips to the 3-D ability of the Professional Navigation system its all there to enjoy, further enhancements consist of Park Assist, Keyless start, Heated Seats Head Up Display, Lane depart, the list goes on and on...
